Personal Growth

  1. Be in Grade 9 or its equivalent.
  2. Complete the following:
    1. Develop your devotional life by studying the Senior Weekly Devotional Guide (weeks 1-26) and the book of Romans utilizing printed or electronic resources.
    2. Journal your thoughts by asking questions like:
      1. "What did I learn about God?"
      2. "What did I learn about myself?"
      3. "How can I apply this to my life today?"
      4. "What in this text is meaningful to me?"
      5. "What is the theme in the verses I read?"
      You may journal through writing, drawing or electronic process.
  3. Memorise the AY Aim.
  4. Illustrate the meaning of the AY Aim in an interesting way.

Spiritual Discovery

  1. Review the Biblical reasons for the 28 Fundamental Christian Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  2. Memorise five Bible texts that support one of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs.
  3. Prepare and present a Bible study on one of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs.
  4. Read The AY Story.

Serving Others

  1. Fulfill requirements #1, #2 and #3 of the Identifying Community Needs honour.
  2. Fulfill requirement #4 of the Identifying Community Needs honour.

Making Friends

  1. Discuss the needs, plan and participate in an activity for physically challenged individuals.
  2. Fulfill requirements #3, #5, and #6 of the Stewardship honour.

Health and Fitness

  1. Earn the Physical Fitness honour, if not previously earned.
  2. Earn the CPR honour.
  3. Complete the Basic Water Safety or Swimming Beginners honour, if not previously earned.

Nature Study

  1. Comoplete the following:
    1. Read a book or at least four articles on Intelligent Design in nature.
    2. Do one of the following:
      1. Review the story of Nicodemus and relate it to the life cycle of the butterfly.
      2. Draw a life-cycle chart of the caterpillar giving the spiritual significance.
      3. Watch a video relating to Intelligent Design and discuss its spiritual significance.
  2. House Plants/Butterflies
    1. Raise a plant using hydroponic principles OR Draw, collect, or photograph 10 species of butterflies, and identify correctly.

Outdoor Living

  1. Earn the Fire Building and Camp Cookery honour.

Honour Enrichment

  1. Complete one honour at your skill level, not previously earned, in the area of Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies or Household Arts. (Skill level 2 or 3)
  2. Complete one honour at your skill level, not previously earned in the area of Recreational, Vocational, or Outdoor Industries. (Skill level 2 or 3)

These advanced requirements are in addition to the Voyager requirements.

Spiritual Discovery

  1. Read/listen to Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings or Christ’s Object Lessons.
  2. Study and discuss two of the following life issues with your Voyager group and an adult: Teen Pregnancy, Abortion, Aids, Homosexuality, Pornography.

Serving Others

  1. Complete the Identifying Community Needs honour, if not previously earned.

Making Friends

  1. Complete the Stewardship honour, if not previously earned.

Health and Fitness

  1. Participate in a lifestyle fitness program for your age such as:
    1. President’s Challenge Active Lifestyle Program
    2. Live Healthy Bermuda Kids
    3. Or similar program

Nature Study

  1. Edible Wild Plants/Environmental Conservation Identify, prepare, and eat 10 varieties of edible wild plants. OR Investigate and write a report on a small stream.
  2. Complete a nature honour at your skill level, not previously earned. (Skill level 2 or 3)

Outdoor Living

  1. Complete one of the following honours not previously earned:
    1. Orienteering
    2. Camp Craft
    3. Backpacking
    4. Winter Camping
    5. Hiking
